The Dementia Centre leads and collaborates in multidisciplinary research to make a direct and positive impact.

We use our research findings to inform how we deliver our services and we learn from the people we serve about issues that need to be answered through research. Our consulting services, educational outreach and clinical services are underpinned by evidence created through research.

The Dementia Centre has extensive collaborations with key dementia research organisations in Australia and around the world to deliver a broad international perspective on issues that affect the lives of people with dementia, their families, and what, how and when services are provided.

Collaboration

The Dementia Centre employs and collaborates with people who are living with dementia in every step of the research process. We believe that co-production is important for achieving the best results and we endorse the Core principles for involving people with dementia in research as developed by the Scottish Dementia Working Group (SDWG).
