This program is presented by The Design School, a team of internationally recognised experts who will provide you with the skills to design dementia enabling environments. 

The program has been tailored for architects, designers, decision makers, dementia specialists and managers, planners, and project managers. 

The International Design School has been rewritten and reconfigured as an exciting and fast-paced new 2 day school. 

The program of this school is modular; over the two days, we will cover a range of stand-alone units, to pique your interest in a variety of different areas of design. 

Core modules include:

  • Introduction to Dementia & Why Design Matters 
  • General Principles For Designing Better Buildings 
  • Developing A Brief & Communicating Well

Our ‘Design Basics’ modules will cover such topics as:

  • Signage, Wayfinding and Navigating Spaces
  • Dining and design

  • HammondCare Model of Care and Integrating Design
