The International Dementia Design School offers:
- Practical solutions to design excellence - We will explore design principles and features including lighting, acoustics, interiors, outdoor spaces and multi-storey design.
- Strategies to design for success - Serving the needs of both staff and clients: reducing adverse incidents, optimising the comfort of clients and staff, reducing behavioural symptoms of clients, reducing staff turnover, maximising delivery of quality care.
- Tools to empower you to make things happen - How to move from concept to reality by making the most of what you have while aiming for best practice, high quality design.
The course is ideal for architects, designers, decision-makers, dementia specialists, planners and project managers.
The site visits and discussions with presenters and delegates contributed towards a very rewarding and meaningful three day workshop. Thank you for a very inspiring programme! - Sheila Lapping Alzheimers Australia WA
It was very informative and valuable with a wide range of issues covered. The format encouraged active participation and networking with a diverse group of people - John Gow, Jackson Teece
The International Design School promotes excellence in dementia care by giving those involved in the design of facilities access to the latest evidence-based research from around the world. It is an opportunity that both decision-makers and those involved in the practical side of design should not miss - Colm Cunningham, Director, Dementia Centre
