PSS - Children and Family Services

Helping people with specific needs to live their own lives in the community PSS Home and Community support Services are for people of all ages, from older people with dementia to adolescents faced with the stresses of approaching adulthood as well as people with mental health problems, physical disabilities or learning difficulties. They may need support in their daily lives in developing vital, everyday skills, and in accessing essential services.

Home & Community Support Services provides:

A problem solving approach to a wide range of difficulties faced by people whose only common characteristic is their need for support.

One to one support, always based on individual need, designed to help people lead normal daily lives in their own homes and communities.

Help for people to retain their place in their communities and to maintain contact with the world outside their homes.

Help with the basic activities of everyday living - including personal care, if need be - as well as help to develop the skills that lead towards greater independence.

Vital encouragement for people to expand their self esteem and confidence.

Support that never forgets the needs, wishes and aspirations of individual people.

PSS ensures:

Professionally qualified, carefully selected team members, who help develop individual, personal plans for the people PSS supports.

PSS has reputation and credibility, based on long experience and a proven track record.

We work in partnership with local communities to provide culturally sensitive support, taking account not only of age and circumstances but also of differences in language, religion, diet, festivals and traditions.

Services that are good value for money.

Very low staff turnover - motivated teams of care staff, quality training. PSS is an accredited NVQ Assessment Centre and Investor in People.

Reliable, practical solutions to meet the standards demanded by Government, health and social care professionals, the individual people themselves, their relatives, and other concerned professionals such as solicitors.
