How Gift Aid Works
Gift Aid is one of the easiest and most effective ways to donate money to PSS.
PSS help over 10,000 older and disabled people, children and families and people with mental health needs each year. You can help us to continue this work long into the future, here are the different ways you can get involved in 'Caring for Generations':
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is really straight forward. For every pound you give us, PSS receives a further 28 pence from the Inland Revenue who treat donations as if the donor had already deducted basic rate tax. The charity reclaims this tax to increase the value of a donation.
Does it cost me anything extra?
What this means is that if you give a £10 Gift Aid donation, it is actually worth £12.80 to the charity and it wont cost you anything extra.
How can I qualify to give Gift Aid?
To qualify for Gift Aid, You must be a UK income tax/capital gains taxpayer and the tax you pay must exceed the amount PSS will claim.
You can make a donation by cheque or postal order. Please make your cheque or postal order made payable to PSS, and forward to our office.
