PSS At Home Day Care has been running for over 30 years; however TRIO in North Wales has been developing over the past twelve months. TRIO is an innovative approach to Day Care Services for those looking for support, the opportunity to meet others in the local area with similar interests and make friends through social interaction facilitated by an Adult Placement Carer. Trio is provided by trained Adult Placement Carers delivering a flexible six hour weekly service in which carers and their families can receive valuable respite from their caring role and users of the service can be supported to remain independent.

Our Adult Placement Carers provide a person-centred service focusing on the individual preferences and interests of those accessing the service. Trio consists of one Adult Placement Carer and two individuals, closely matched by the scheme in terms of their interests and individual needs, to promote social interaction and reduce social isolation.

As a healthy diet is integral in the wellbeing of users accessing the service, at home day care enables individual dietary preferences to be met as lunch is made by the Adult Placement Carer in their own home. The Trio Scheme through flexibility of delivery provides a service that responds to the complexity of individual need in the care of those with memory issues and their families, within a safe living environment. Delivered in a smaller setting, individually personalised, Trio promotes a greater sense of independence as well as opportunities to integrate into the wider community.
