Driving and Dementia

Driving is a major part of many people's day to day lives. Some need to drive for work purposes, others use their cars to visit relatives, go on holiday or go for day trips and others use their cars only when they have no other means of transport. Whatever you use your car for, it can be extremely distressing and worrying to receive a diagnosis of Dementia.
Don't despair! The rules and regulations regarding driving with Dementia are not set in stone. There are considerations, of course, but please read the other pages in this section before you decide on whether or not you need to hang up your keys.
